How Champagne Bridesmaid Dresses Can Be Styled For Each Season - Maids to Measure

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Champagne bridesmaid dresses. A classic, elegant colour, so often chosen for bridesmaid dresses. But does this seemingly perfect colour have its limitations, or is it truly an all-year-round go-to? Well, let's explore weddings season by season to see if Champagne would fit.

We’ll start with summer, a season full of bold colours and outdoor events. Champagne won’t compete with any vibrant colours you may pick for your accent colours, such as fuchsia, emerald, or lavender. Dresses like the Stella - a simple and elegant slip-style dress with thin straps, look effortless in Champagne Ivory Satin. Just like the Allegra, a similarly summery style with wider straps that tie at the top or the back. Both dresses are in the Ego Edit of our Satin Collection, and both are perfect for a hot, summery wedding. But what if the bride's dress is satin? Still gorgeous and elegant, but it won’t match your dress exactly, chiffon bridesmaid dresses may be the answer, plus it’s a lovely, flowing fabric suited well to hot weather. Our dress, Grace, is a deep V-neck chiffon dress with no sleeves and a subtle frill detail, perfect for the warmest of days and very flattering.

So summer is a winner, but what about autumn? The short answer is absolutely. The slight golden warmth that comes with Champagne Ivory in our Satin collection pairs beautifully with the rich tones of an autumn wedding. And the way satin flows gives gorgeous movement to longer sleeve styles like the Cleo, a V-neck dress with cape sleeves. This is going to add a bit more coverage for the colder temperatures whilst still looking elegant. For a little more sleeve, you could opt for the Margot, a full-length wrap dress with longer cape sleeves that go down to the elbow. It’s the perfect mix of warmth and class, and the wrap style allows for it to accommodate a wide range of figures, making it one of the most comfortable dresses we offer. These options are both very flowing and feminine; if that’s not what you were going for, there’s the Daphne. Again with longer sleeves, but this is a lot more fitted. A slim, closer-to-the-body dress with a front split that starts around knee height and tighter sleeves with a small frill at the bottom. This in the Champagne Ivory Satin is the perfect sophisticated, clean, and refined look for your autumn bridesmaids and will pair well with any rich, warm colours you want to accent it.

We’re currently 2 for 2, but how is Champagne going to hold up for winter weddings? Perhaps unsurprisingly by now, it fits in perfectly. Looking back to our Ego Edit in our Satin Collection, three dresses stand out as faultless options for winter bridesmaids, the most obvious of which is the Kitty. A long-sleeve, full-length dress with a wrap-style middle, which will provide warmth and class. The lack of volume in the sleeves also makes it a practical option for winter, as it won’t get bunched up under extra layers pre- or post-ceremony. Jemima, a full-length, flowing gown with cape sleeves and a high neck, is another option for winter bridesmaids. The Champagne Ivory Satin will look pale against cool blues and greens but won’t be as white as a wedding dress, allowing the bride to stand out whilst still keeping an all-white theme that is popular amongst winter weddings. Thirdly, there is Tilly, a high-neck, halter-style dress with no sleeves, but don’t let that put you off. The lack of sleeves allows for an array of warm, elegant accessories around the shoulders, such as intricate shawls or (faux) fur stoles, and the beautiful simplicity of the Champagne Ivory Satin means it can be paired with any fabric.

Last on the list is Spring. Champagne dresses and spring go hand in hand; it makes us think of blossoms on the trees and daisy bouquets. It’s a truly gorgeous combination that needs little explanation. Spring is the most varied month for wedding colours, but Champagne will match them all, from dusty yellows to deep burgundies. But what styles to choose? Cowls are a classic silhouette for spring, either as a neckline, like the Pandy, a cowl neck dress with no sleeves. Or at the back, like the Eadie, a high-neck, cowl-back dress with little cape sleeves. Both perfect for spring and both exude old Hollywood glamour and sophistication, especially in Champagne Ivory Satin. If your spring wedding is leaning more towards daisies and blossoms and less glitz and glam, you may opt for the Caroline. An angel sleeve chiffon dress that brings out the youthful, playful nature of spring whilst remaining elegant. The colour is Cream Soda, a soft, neutral champagne colour that will complement any accents or theme it’s with.

So it sounds like Champagne will suit any season you want to be married in, which may not help you pick out a wedding date but will help with styling. This neutral tone is the ultimate workhorse and will look stunning on all your bridesmaids, rain or shine.
